tTP Episode #102 – Jeremy Watkins

Today on the podcast we’re interviewing one of the best fiddlers and harmony singers in the Texas and Red Dirt Music scene.  Jeremy Watkins played for years with Jason Boland and The Stragglers, Stoney Larue and a long list of others.

I got to know Jeremy clear back in the year 2002 when I hired him to play fiddle and sing harmonies on my first record.  He went on to join me on other recording project and for my money, he’s one of the best harmony singers out there.

After taking some time off from the road, Jeremy went on to get his degree in engineering along with being a dad to two beautiful little girls.  In fact, after the interview we got to talk with the little ladies and here about their Halloween costumes which was very cute as well.

Jeremy introduced me to a lot of folks in the industry on my recording trips to Texas in the early 2000s and I really appreciate his friendship.

So here we go with this week’s episode of The Troubadour featuring my buddy, Jeremy Watkins.
